Want to work in Google? The company recently revealed to the New York Times, what are the characteristics they appreciate most at the new candidates for their teams.

If you thought that a university degree or IQ is a key to work in Google, the answer of Laszlo Bock, one of the main guys for employment at Google, will certainly surprise you.

“There are 5 key qualities that we ask from the new employees. If it’s technical work, then we evaluate the ability for programming, and almost half of the jobs are technical. For every open place, the key is cognitive ability, and it is not intelligence.” - said Laszlo.

The second quality that candidates should posses is the leadership. Not traditional one, but rather the one that derives.

"What interests us is whether when you face with a problem, as part of a team will opt forward in the necessary time and lead. What’s more important is if you step back and allow some friend to be a leader. The key to be a leader in this environment is the desire to deviate a power."

It’s interesting that Google is not looking for expertise when searching for new candidates. Instead, candidates with cognitive ability who are curious and eager for new knowledge and leadership skills are far better candidates

"Most non-experts will come to the same answer with experts usually it’s not too difficult.
Sometimes they won’t succeed, but sometimes they will come with answer, which is new, and that has a big value."

Here in an awkward situation are those who have major problems with stage fright and did not know how to overcome this problem.
Besides professionally written resume, good qualifications, previous experience, you know you need to do the job interview. It is possible for employers to choose someone who is less qualified, but someone who does not look so clumsy.

What to do to avoid stage fright?

First, forget the friendly advice on something to drink for relaxation. If you go drunk on job interview, certainly will not get the job. They won’t take you seriously as a truly professional. Be sure that employers will not think on that way you want to remove stage fright.
Try to concentrate and natural to relax! Before a job interview, try to sleep well. Before the interview, be sure to eat, but not too much to avoid something unexpected happen. Try to believe in yourself and your abilities. Think of how many years you have invested in your education and acquire the knowledge and skills they possess.
Do your best to get rid of the feeling of fear and dissatisfaction with yourselves and leave a good impression to your potential employers. However, what if you still have stage fright? In this case, it is best to openly say that you have a problem with stage fright and to ask service job interview to have an understanding of your condition. Even you can say that you are really capable and valuable employee, but stage fright currently prevents it to prove and to introduce yourself in the best possible light.
So for those who are serious professionals and serious do their job, believe me, they will understand. And they are people and, of course, already met people with similar behavior as yours and a similar problem like yours.

These are things to do to increase your chancesInstead of constantly complaining, accept advice from Jim Rohn: "Things will get better when you're better."
Given the situation on the labor market and situation in the country, the best thing you can do is to be thorough and aggressive when it comes to finding a job or at least a job interview. Here are some ideas that could help you to get a job:

1. Apply to places to which you really have the qualifications

Do not apply the place where such a profession is not required. If you apply, make sure you find a recommendation or reference that might help.

2. Implement a plan for job

Plan requires great collated summary, and understanding how people find candidates. The plan also includes perfect form of application without any mistake, and perfectly written cover letter.

3. Focus on the work, not the money

Sometimes, it is good to be paid less than be paid more. Promotion or increase in salary will only happen if you show a great job.

4. Present your own weaknesses and strengths through short stories

Nobody believes in generalized statements. You need to stand out from the group and show specific examples of your strengths and how you have used in real situations. Also, it is good to show that your weaknesses have been observed and that you turn them into strengths, and thus are more grown up and matured.

5. Share and win by asking the universal question

If you fail to get to the interview, ask your potential employer to focus on work, on some major challenges and how performance will be measured on an employee.

6. Practice the universal answer to any question

You need to have the ability to prove that you have experience in any specific instance. Create your reply using the following scheme:
Say a few words - Statement - Expanding statement - a few examples - ending.

7. Ask for what you are interested in before the end of the interview

To decide where you are and where you stand, ask the manager or prospective employer about something that interests you about the job. If they are specific and encircle your question, it is a sign that they won’t call. You can ask about how to use the skills and abilities of the position for which you are applying.

Makes me happy to work with them, share their enthusiasm and their tendency to experiment. As they say - I enjoy from the heart of the generation, after all, I belonged there.

Recently come across too many cases in which just graduated young people aged from 25 to 29-30 years for years cannot find a suitable job in the field. So whatever work comes their way, or even worse - did not work anything.
Statistics show that only 20% of the young people find work in their specialty. Interpretations are that our universities producing too many specialists who has no place in business and administration. And also - that train too many students in economics, medicine, law, and not enough in engineering fields.
Perhaps there is another reason for these statistics; the way young professionals looking for work and their unrealistic expectations. In recent weeks, I had to help a young lady with a degree in computer science, which cannot find a job for 2-3 years.
Quite surprised because Macedonian software and IT companies constantly face hunger for new working staff.
Get to the point to argue that the lack of specialists is a deterrent to the development of IT business in the country. And at the same time - young people is what education remain out of work and desperate...

Why is it difficult to find a job after college?

1. No experience in applying

It is natural that young people do not know how to apply the best. Usually after a call in 1-2 popular job sites where preset standard autobiography, they wait...
We need to put a lot more effort. CV must be quite detailed. After release of the documents should call the company to verify that they were received. Must carefully prepare for the interview. You need to read a lot about the history and products of the company you are applying for a job...

2. No strategy

Usually young people do not make it quite clear what they want to work. In the area of computer technology has several possible implementations professional - developer specializing in software quality, database administrator, network administrator, an expert in the preparation of technical documentation ... a lot of disciplines.
Rarely anyone bothers to imagine the differences in these positions to explore what people are doing on these positions, and what specific knowledge and skills are needed to prepare for.
I notice also that young people do not take risks. That’s one of the main problems. You need to try in order to get.

3. Have unrealistic expectations

All parents create idealistic present in their children. We keep a lot of good education and formation of young people knowing that a good education will automatically open all the doors for them. And that the diploma is the end of the effort, not the beginning...
And young people leave with big bags to their first jobs. For conditions, social benefits, to pay ... The truth is that no one wants to pay so much for worker without professional experience. And often, the owners share the discomfort in the workplace along with the personnel.
The reality in economic crisis is different - give to get. Required is a period of apprenticeship to master the craft. To go into the profession, to learn its intricacies, you can create real products that are visible results of your work. And then you're going to get.

4. Not seek help

Young people are afraid to ask for assistance in finding a job. Can always turn to their friends, relatives or older friends and ask for help. There are things that are the product of experience subtleties features of the application process. And there are no way these things to be aware of a budding professional; they are the product of experience.
Will be happy if you share your opinion.Darkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11264538700137439674noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-76532328341098060.post-50195266980460323842013-09-02T03:43:00.002-07:002013-09-02T03:44:46.563-07:00Famous people and the road to success

To have a job that you will love and will be satisfied both mentally and materially, is a result of hard work, and perseverance. Famous people best know the road to success.
Every day in the media we read and see people who are endlessly rich, successful and have a career, have a great influence in society, politics, economy, but we wonder how they reached that glory?
Some of them had a hard life and the path that it took to reach their current positions was bumpy, but still worthy of admiration.
A lot of individuals who have succeeded can serve as motivation in the moments when we lack the desire to continue on the path of success. It is very important to know that everyone who succeeds used his first job as springboard for further success. Jobs were often found by themselves but their quality has made them what are today. You're searching for a job after college, but do more than that. You have to dream to become like people described bellow.
Oprah Winfrey is one of the most powerful and influential women in the world that managed to fight for herself with an incredible desire to succeed. She comes from a very poor family; parents-teens get divorced, and in the early years was sexually abused.
Oprah was grown by her grandma that learned to read at the age of three, and in the church, the audience loved to hear how she quote the Bible. On the age of 16, she’s going to the radio station to take her prize-clock and accidentally gets a job.
The producer of the radio station firstly heard her speak and Oprah got a chance and place as a radio journalist. Now, she's a woman, who has the biggest impact in the business world, managed to make her show which has an audience of millions, has its own magazine and many other businesses.
Warren Buffett never planned to enroll in college, because after high school had solid earnings from transportation of newspapers. Buffett's father was constantly pushing to enroll at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. Finally Buffet enrolls this school. He was unhappy with the studies in Wharton and leaves to join the University of Nebraska where he graduated in three years after working full-time.
At that time he met his professor Ben Graham his future mentor. Learning from him, Warren offered to volunteer with Graham, but was refused, so he joined his father and unsuccessfully invested in shares in "Texaco".
After some time he was employed as a teacher at night school, and even after years, he got an offer from Ben Graham to work for him. This was the beginning of Buffett, and the beginning in the world of the rich and famous.
Donald Trump came from a family that had rather well developed business and had the opportunity to learn the secrets of the business from his father, who worked in real estate and who was his mentor. He was employed with his father and began to thoroughly learn the real estate business. His first task was to collect rent from tenants that their father has published the area they lived in, and they started to work. He worked 5 years for his father and progressed so slowly but surely.
Over time he began to sign contracts that were more than successful, independent and start his own business which today runs successfully and is one of the most influential people in the world.

One of the richest men in history, John D. Rockefeller, got his first job after 6 weeks of continuous demand to talk with managers of big companies. In most cases he has not succeeded and did not received conversation opportunity, but that never prevented him to continue. During those six weeks, six days a week from morning to evening, he visited companies hoping to talk to the directors. While visiting all the companies that had in the list, starting from scratch, and also in some of the companies has been more times. Eventually he gets a job as an assistant accountant in "Hewitt and Tuttle" company. Rockefeller one said:
"I worked every day, demanding job" - which today can serve as an example to many young people who are looking for work after college.

Nowadays there are many such examples, and many actors and singers started their careers in very strange places. For example, Rod Stewart first got the job as grave excavator.
Sylvester Stallone was cleaning the cages of lions, Jerry Seinfeld sold light bulbs and Stephen King worked as a janitor at a school (women's locker room he was inspired to write the story of "Carrie.")
Common to all was the desire for something more and that made them successful. Each of us, if wish can go the same way and with a little luck you can reach the desired goal.
Lately I noticed that readers of our blog search for an answer to a difficult question:

Should I put my own picture in my CV?

I'm sure most of you have come to answer this question of one or another resource, always different which further lead to a dilemma rather than give you a definitive answer.
Allow me now to permanently resolve this dilemma:
1. Overall, the picture is no longer a required element in a CV. Companies that prefer CV with photograph clearly indicate that in the job posting. If this information is missing, consider that it is done for a reason. Do not put in a CV more than necessary because in this case you know - Each centimeter is important.
2. Unless you can show off with great photogeneity (such as myself) will require proactive and unnecessary inclusion of photography without it explicitly desired. You don’t need to have to eliminate the chances of selection for another candidate who can possibly afford weekly treatments for face and beauty. Do not let the recruiter to be diverted from your own qualities listed just a few centimeters below picture just because it may not be in its taste.
That's it friends. Turn dilemma in position on the issue. Otherwise the different variants of answers to this question will ever find its way to you unnecessarily occupying your mind.
Have a nice day!

Magazine "The Economist" calculates that the world's youth who neither work nor study, nor a kind of training is staggering 290 million, or about a quarter of the world's youth.
Unfortunately many of the "employed" young people have only informal education and fickle job. In rich countries more than a third of working-age young people work part-time, making it difficult to gain skills. Young people have long run a dead heat in the market.
But now the problem is worse than before for two reasons. First, the financial crisis and its aftermath have an unusually large impact on youth. Many employers lay off first those last employed, so due to the recession grow unemployment among young people disproportionately.
The number of young people out of work is for nearly one-third greater than the number in 2007. Secondly emerging economies that have the largest and fastest growing population have the worst labor markets.

Why is this so important?

Many studies have shown that people, who begin careers without practice, probably in the future will have lower wages and are more likely in the future to remain jobless.
Countries with the lowest rates have unemployment linkage tradition of education and work. Germany has long run tradition of higher education and internship in recent years that helped to reduce unemployment among youth despite modest growth. Countries with high rates of unemployment don’t have a tradition of study and internship.
In the past, companies try to invest in an internship, today it is less common.
The lack of practice may explain why in the last 5 years, youth unemployment in flexible economies like America and Britain has seen much growth compared to previous recessions.
It's hard for youth to remain optimistic with problem that destroys their future.Darkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11264538700137439674noreply@blogger.com0
